Holyhead to Porth Wen

I exited the harbour motoring past a cruise liner, capacity about 3500!
Very exciting seeing such a large liner. It was a misty start and potential for fog.

Things cleared up as I sailed down to Porth Wen and stayed there for a while I had to anchor on the end of a line of yachts. An increasing 35knot wind and a rising tide resulted in the anchor dragging which pushed me out into the tidal flow. I had to pull up the anchor and decided to go to Lamb Island. Possibly to avoid the embarrassment of going back into the bay. 16NM log 19.5GPS.

Pilot Cove to Holyhead

After a nice evening I got up and had breakfast. Always a pleasure having breakfast in such a great spot. It wasn't as sunny as it has been down here but still beautiful. I set off at 8.30 and got into Holyhead at 12.30 22NM.

Choppy on the way home!
